Classic cars continue to increase significantly in value – not only the most exotic ones but also other more down-to-earth models.


Specialist insurer Hagerty has published its list of the top 10 vehicles that will appreciate in 2022, but other studies and rankings of the same kind could be mentioned. For example, the British website Confused recently published interesting statistics.

According to its research, the Ferrari F355, Testarossa, and F40 occupy three of the top four spots on the chart of vehicles whose value has increased the most since 2019. The Lamborghini Miura fits in between them.

Now, value is just one way among many others to measure the status of a car model. Confused analyzed the number of searches on Google in the past 12 months and found that Nissan's Skyline GT-R dominates the ranking, followed by the Lamborghini Countach and the F40. Ferrari's 250 GTO, by far the most expensive car in the world, appears in 14th place.


On social media, the Lamborghini Diablo and Miura lead in terms of mentions on Instagram and views on TikTok. Strangely, the Honda Prelude ranks third, ahead of the Porsche 944 and Bugatti EB 110.


Confused finally compiled the various results, taking into account production volumes, and then drew up a ranking of the best classic cars on the planet. The number one? It's the Lamborghini Miura. Launched in the mid-1960s, the beautiful Italian set all sorts of benchmarks, notably by becoming the fastest production vehicle in the world at the time. It is estimated today that its value has risen by over 1,500% since its launch!
