  For the Special Sauce:

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise

- 2 tablespoons French dressing

- 4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish

- 1 tablespoon finely minced onion

- 1 teaspoon white vinegar

- 1 teaspoon sugar

- 1/8 teaspoon salt


    For the Burger:

- 1 lb ground beef

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 1 teaspoon onion powder

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder

- 4 sesame seed hamburger buns

- 8 slices American cheese

- Shredded iceberg lettuce

- Thinly sliced pickles

- Diced onions (optional)


    Instructions:


1.   Prepare the Special Sauce:

   - In a small bowl, mix together mayonnaise, French dressing, sweet pickle relish, minced onion, white vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir well to combine. Refrigerate until ready to use.


2.  Form the Patties:

   - Divide the ground beef into 8 equal portions. Shape each portion into thin patties, slightly larger than the hamburger buns. Season both sides of the patties with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.


3.  Cook the Patties:

   - Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 2-3 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on top of each patty to melt.


4.  Assemble the Burgers:

   - Toast the hamburger buns lightly.

   - Spread a generous amount of the special sauce on the bottom half of each bun.

   - Place a layer of shredded lettuce on top of the sauce.

   - Add a few slices of pickles on top of the lettuce.

   - Place a cooked cheeseburger patty on top of the pickles.

   - Place another slice of American cheese on top of the patty.

   - Optionally, sprinkle some diced onions over the cheese.

   - Spread a little more special sauce on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the burger.


5.  Serve:

   - Serve your homemade Big Macs immediately with your favorite side dishes.
